Take the first step to becoming a PADI Pro with the PADI Divemaster Internship Course.
Working closely with a PADI Instructor at our PADI Centre in London, you'll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.
Competent and resourceful Divemasters are critical to any dive operation and this is why we offer free training on an internship basis (if you complete the EFR and Rescue with our PADI Centre in London) ie. you assist at a number of evening and weekend courses following completion of the course. This provides you with the valuable experience you need and supplies us with extra DMs to assist with courses.
The course covers dive leadership through classroom and independent study sessions, water skills and stamina exercises in confined and open water, plus training exercises to test organizational and problem solving abilities.
What does this course prepare you for?
Work at local dive centres, on live-aboard dive boats, yachts and at exotic resort locations
- Assist PADI Instructors with students
- Lead PADI Scuba Divers on guided dive tours
- Teach and certify PADI Skin Divers (snorkelling)
- Teach PADI Discover Snorkelling programs
- Conduct PADI Scuba Review programs for certified divers (refresher course)
- Lead certified divers on Discover Local Diving experiences
- Teach Emergency First Response programs (after successful completion of an Emergency First Response Instructor course)
- Run Discover Scuba sessions (after completing DSD Leader)
PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.
DurationVariable, dependent on volume of other courses plus your availability. As a guide you need a bare minimum of 6 weekends for the internship.
Minimum Age
18 years
Prerequisites
Certified Rescue Diver or have an equivalent certification from another training organisation. Valid EFR or equivalent first aid certification from within the past two years. Current signed medical. 20 logged dives to start, 60 for completion. Preferably have your own equipment by week four of the course (we offer a 10% discount for students in our shop), although hire options after this point are available.
