Assistant Instructor Course
Live the dream
The Assistant Instructor course is the first part of the Instructor Development Course (IDC) and can be taught on its own or together with the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) portion.
During the course, you’ll become familiarised with the PADI system of diver education, both in concept and also with practical application in classroom presentations and confined and open water teaching scenarios. You’ll also gain an overview of the dive industry and learn how to use the teaching tools at your disposal.
After completing the course, you’ll be qualified to teach Peak Performance Buoyancy and Project AWARE speciality courses and conduct Discover Scuba Diving sessions in confined water. You’ll also be halfway towards your goal of being an Open Water Scuba Instructor.
